Meet Your Instructor
Rob Reid is a public school music teacher of 14 years, and an award winning guitarist, music producer, and songwriter. He fell in love with the guitar at a young age after finding his father’s old six string tucked in the back of a closet. Rob was fascinated with the instrument and would try to pluck out sounds on the open strings.
It wasn’t till after Rob found a good book, a great teacher, and some like minded friends that he was able to progress quickly. After learning some basic chords and three different accompaniment styles, he was able to develop a technique that allowed him to play any popular song he heard on the radio.
Soon Rob was proficient enough to play at his church and formed a rock band with his friends. He has gone on to play professionally and tour all over North America. He has received several music accolades including a JUNO Award nomination and an East Coast Music Award for his guitar playing, songwriting, and music production.
Rob loves to teach and share his passion for the guitar and has been teaching privately for over 25 years.
