ACTION STEPS
Be sure to watch this video a few times to if necessary to make sure you grasp all five concepts.
Step 1 – Grab a piece of paper and draw a rough sketch of an acoustic guitar. Now practice naming the guitar by writing down each part I mentioned in the video.
Step 2. – Write out the “phrase” I use to help remember the note names of each string. Now write out the letters names of each string in proper order.
Step 3. – Draw a picture of a hand and number each finger properly
Step 4. – Sit down on a chair and practice getting comfortable with the guitar. Allow your arm to anchor the guitar and practice moving you hand up and down the neck.
Step 5. – Take a look at the A Chord chart and notice how the fingers are ordered. Now practice putting your fingers in the proper place in the second fret. Push hard and try to make every string create a sound. Adjust your fingers to get the proper tone of each string. Make sure your hand not touching the neck of the guitar and your thumb is tucked behind the neck.
All you need is twenty minutes a day of practice! Good luck and see you in the next video!
